The backpacker is afraid of bears and the bear is afraid of backpackers. Here is a bear drawn to the fruits of this bush unaware of humans and hoping for some protection from the wind by placing the bush between the tent and the winds directions, those in the tent are unaware of the bear. The bear may eat and leave without the human knowing or it could become a disaster for both parties. This is the calm before the potential storm of when natural wildlife and backpackers path interact.
