This artwork was created as one of those examples that on the surface appear a youthful and slightly childish view of an adolescent kicking a football back up a waterfall. But within that there are innumerable metaphors where you wish to find them. If you see the water as time, or as the fall as a mistake then it becomes a metaphor on the flow of life and the concept of maturing. The ball being symbolic of the stubbornness, willfulness of youth. It also perhaps is the human disregard for the beauty of nature and not giving it the respect that it is worth.

Acrylic on canvased panel, 24x12 inches.
